History of Pop-A-Lock Portland

A message from the owner, Carla McCormick

The Franchise was started here in the late 90’s. Rhonda and I purchased the franchise in 2004. We fell in love with the Northwest. Our business has grown along with our love for our new home. All of our calls are answered by a local dispatch center in Southeast Portland. All of our locksmiths and technicians are local and live all over the Portland area, from Vancouver, Washington to Hillsboro, to West Linn. Our tech’s live and shop in the part of town they service. When a customer calls Pop A Lock in Portland, they get to speak to and be serviced by a local. That is important to us.

Pop-A-Lock's Impact on the Portland Community

Over the last six years we have serviced, and helped thousands of customers. Almost all of our customers are people who are having a bad day. They have either run out of gas, had a flat tire, a dead battery or locked their keys in their cars, sometimes the children too! It’s our job to change that, to come to the rescue so to speak. We spend a lot of time teaching our team how to perform their jobs proficiently, but we spend even more time teaching them that a smile and an understanding attitude are as important as quick service. If you ask any of our team they would tell you that the best part of any day is the hug or true look of gratitude or appreciation they receive from helping a stranded customer, or rescuing a child from a locked car.

Management

The Pop-A-Lock Portland management team prides itself on giving top-notch customer service. Customers know they are safe when we help them, and can count on our reliability and speed of getting to customers fast when they need our help. Also, all Pop-A-Lock employees dress in company standard orange uniforms and provide service in clean cars that are easily identified to be Pop-A-Lock.
